The Significance of Accessibility
Although many medical technologies have been developed and proven effective for a long time, and access to healthcare should be a universal right for everyone, there are still many people who cannot access these treatments due to economic status. If you do not have health insurance or sufficient funds for medical care, you will not receive treatment.
Many ASEAN countries are aware of these human rights issues and are striving to push for public healthcare rights and change health policies to improve the quality of life for their citizens continuously. However, there are still significant challenges, especially for the middle-income group, which is to support access to treatment without impacting financial stability. Thus, accessibility is a top priority for Popolo in developing medical equipment to ensure that technology can be used to enhance people's lives.

Popolo was founded by a team of researchers from Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Engineering who developed medical devices in collaboration with medical faculty members, driven by the belief that healthcare is a right that should be equally accessible to all.
Currently, Popolo is registered as a medical device manufacturing facility by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and has been certified with international standards for quality management of medical devices (ISO 13485).
